The client already had clear ideas about the look of the website, so we had to build it from finished designs. In the first phase of the project we received the necessary brand elements, images, typefaces and base colours, and used them to build the requested site in a development environment.
As a second step, we discussed the more problematic elements and our ideas with the client, and created the final Hungarian version of the website along those lines.
In the next phase of the project, our task was to create the English version, based on the look of the Hungarian pages. Once this was done too, the client checked that everything matched the designs and the ideas we had discussed, and then came the final step.
In the last phase, the site went live and was handed over.
The biggest challenge of the project was that the client stuck closely to the designs and its own ideas, which often gave the developers a real headache in working out how to build them for the web. Of course, the designs looked beautiful, but some parts weren't perfect from a UX or other point of view, so we had to rework them together.
