Frequently asked questions

Do you look after websites hosted with other providers?

We can provide a full service if the hosting is with the provider we recommend, because hosting is often the bottleneck. If you want to stay with your current hosting provider, we first carry out an assessment, then discuss what we can make of the situation.

Do you only take on websites you built?

No, we take on websites built by others too. In that case, the first step is an assessment where we check the state of the site, which plugins it runs and whether there is any backlog that needs catching up. If there is, we tell you up front what it will cost, and only then does the monthly maintenance start.

How long do I have to commit for?

The maintenance contract can be cancelled at any time. We only invoice the current month.

What happens if the site gets hacked?

We restore it from the latest clean backup, find out where the attack came in and fix it. Restoring from a backup is part of the plan.

Do you maintain non-WordPress websites too?

Our plans are built for WordPress and WooCommerce sites, because those are what we know best. Other systems need a custom agreement. Write to us and we will tell you whether we can take responsibility for it.

Is hosting and the domain included in the monthly fee?

No, you pay for these separately with the provider.

What does the extra work fee mean?

For extra work we always let you know in advance and only do it once you have approved it. If you have a monthly maintenance plan, we work at a discounted hourly rate.
