You will find out what we use your data for, how long we keep it, who has access to it and what rights you have. This policy was prepared in line with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Hungarian data protection law. Under which laws do we handle your data?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Regulation (EU) 2016\/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hungarian Act CXII of 2011 on the right of informational self-determination and on freedom of information (Infotv.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hungarian Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code (Ptk.), for data relating to contracts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hungarian Act C of 2000 on accounting (Szt.), for data on invoices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Requesting a quote on the website<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This section applies to the quote request forms on the Contact page and the Website sprint page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What data do we ask for?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Required:<\/strong> full name, email address, mobile number, your message and which of our services you are interested in. On the Website sprint form, also your company name or website address, when you would like the website by and whether you already have a brand identity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Optional:<\/strong> company name, the address of your existing website and how you heard about us.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you include further personal data in your message, we handle that too, but only to respond to your request. Please don't include special category data (such as health data), we don't need it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What do we use it for?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To understand how we can help and to prepare our quote.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To contact you by email or phone and discuss the details.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We look at the answers to \"How did you hear about us?\" in aggregate, to see how people find us.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">On what legal basis?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For the required data: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For the optional data and any further data you choose to include in your message: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you give by ticking a checkbox before sending the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time, which does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How long do we keep it?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If no contract is concluded between us: for 1 year from the closing of the enquiry, after which we delete it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If we conclude a contract: as contract data, for 5 years from the end of the contract (the general limitation period under the Hungarian Civil Code), and data on invoices for 8 years (Section 169 of the Hungarian Accounting Act).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you withdraw your consent or request deletion, we delete the data based on consent without delay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where do we store it?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your quote request arrives by email in our hello@vikingo.studio mailbox and is also stored in the website's admin area, which only our team members can access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do you have to provide it?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No, requesting a quote is voluntary. Without the data marked as required, however, we can't give you a quote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. If you email us<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you send us an email directly, we handle your name, email address and the content of your message so we can reply. If your email is a request for a quote, the legal basis is steps taken before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), in all other cases our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). If no contract is concluded, we keep emails for 1 year from the closing of the enquiry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Protecting the form from abuse<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To filter out automated mass messaging, when you send the form we create an irreversible fingerprint (hash) from your IP address and store it for no more than 1 hour. We don't store the IP address itself and we don't identify anyone from the fingerprint. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the website and our mailbox (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. How the website works technically<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Server logs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you open the website, our hosting provider's server automatically records the technical details of the visit for secure operation: the IP address, the time of the visit, the address of the page opened and the browser type. We use these to detect errors and attacks, and the legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the website securely (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). The hosting provider keeps the logs for as long as needed for security purposes, then deletes them automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cookies and data stored in your browser<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On your first visit we ask what you consent to in the CookieYes consent window. It contains no personal data and never leaves your browser.<\/td><td>Until you delete it<\/td><td>Needed for the feature you asked for<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Without your consent Google Analytics does not even load, so no data is sent to Google. Google Analytics does not store your IP address and deletes the measurement data after 14 months. We do not use advertising cookies; if we ever do, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Who has access to your data?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your data is only seen by the team members who deal with quote requests. In providing their services, Google and Notion may transfer data outside the European Union, including to the United States. This is done on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision on the EU\u2013US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We only pass data to other parties if required by law (for example, at the request of an authority).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. How do we protect your data?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The website and the form work over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The admin area can only be accessed with individual company accounts, and only people who need the data for their work have access to it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The website is backed up regularly and its software is kept up to date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9. What rights do you have?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Access:<\/strong> you can ask whether and what data of yours we handle and request a copy (GDPR Article 15).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Rectification:<\/strong> you can ask us to correct or complete inaccurate data (Article 16).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Erasure:<\/strong> you can request the deletion of your data if it is no longer needed, you have withdrawn your consent or it is being processed unlawfully (Article 17).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Restriction:<\/strong> you can ask us to only store your data for a period and do nothing else with it, for example while a disputed issue is clarified (Article 18).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Data portability:<\/strong> you can ask us to give you the data you provided in a machine-readable format or pass it on to someone else (Article 20).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Objection:<\/strong> you can object at any time to processing based on legitimate interest (Article 21).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Withdrawing consent:<\/strong> at any time, without giving a reason.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">You can send your request to <a href=\"mailto:hello@vikingo.studio\">hello@vikingo.studio<\/a> or to the postal address above. We reply within one month at most, which may be extended by a further two months for complex or numerous requests; we will let you know within one month if so. Fulfilling your request is free of charge. If we have doubts about your identity, we may ask for further information to confirm it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">10. Where can you complain?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you feel we have violated your data protection rights, please write to us first so we can put it right.
